New Features in the Differential Cross Sections Measured at the LHC

The critical analysis of the new experimental data obtained by ATLAS Collaboration group at 13 TeV is presented and problem tension between TOTEM Collaborations considered. effects discovered on basis MDPI: ref not allowed in abstract, please correct. associated with specific properties hadron potential large distances carried out taking account all sets elastic proton-proton scattering a wide momentum transfer region. It also gives quantitative descriptions examined minimum fitting parameters. shown that features determined high statistical level give an important contribution to differential cross sections allow research analytic symmetries into interactions distances.

Total, elastic and diffractive cross sections at LHC in the Miettinen–Pumplin model

Predictions for the total, elastic and single diffractive cross sections calculated for the LHC in the framework of the Miettinen-Pumplin model are presented. The total cross section is expected to be 15% smaller than that determined by Donnachie and Landshoff in the model with soft pomeron.
